certification of standards of mass and volumetric flow rate units;

transfer of units of mass and volumetric liquid flow from national primary standards to secondary and working standards;

tests for type approval of liquid flow rate and amount measuring equipment (test consoles, flow meters, counters, capacity measures, metering units and systems);

verification and calibration of liquid flow rate and amount measuring equipment (test consoles, flow meters, counters, capacity measures, metering units and systems);

development, improvement, storage, comparison and implementation of state primary standards of mass and volumetric liquid flow rate units;

development of methods for verification and calibration of measuring equipment for flow rate and amount of liquid.

metrological expert examination of technical specifications and requirements, working and technical projects, procedures (methods) of measurement of flow and amount of liquid;

provision of State Metrological Service and legal entities with secondary and working standards.

 

Areas of scientific work:

 

conduct of fundamental and applied research and development work in the field of measurement of flow and amount of liquid;

development, improvement, storage, comparison and implementation of state primary standards of units of mass and volumetric liquid flow rate;

development, improvement and expert examination of regulatory framework for the implementation of Federal Law 102-FZ "On Assurance of Measurement Uniformity" of June 26, 2008;

preparation of proposals on the directions of scientific and technological policy in the field of flow metering;

participation in international activities under ISO, OIML, COOMET and bilateral cooperation;

analysis of sets of normative documents in the field of development of critical technologies, development and improvement of state standards in the line of Fuel and Energy;

scientific and technical cooperation in the development, improvement and comparison of national standards, and the development of new normative documents and their harmonization with current international standards and recommendations.
